We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer within our clients Highways and Infrastructure Design team located in Swindon. You’ll be joining a team who offer services ranging from feasibility studies, flood risk and transport assessments to detailed engineering design and legal agreement preparations, delivering cost-effective practical solutions. The current team delivers practical, feasible and cost-effective solutions, working diligently with private and public sector organisations to deliver a range of high-quality highways and infrastructure design services to support planning proposals. You’ll play a key role in both technical delivery and commercial performance, including involvement in the preparation of fee proposals and project management.

The role:

  • To be able to prepare drainage & construction details.
  • To prepare highway and drainage designs.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

What you need to succeed:

  • Be competent in the use of AutoCAD, AutoTrack & Site 3D.
  • Be able to use Microsoft Office programs.
  • Have an understanding of appropriate design standards and guidance e.g. DMRB, DCG, Building Regs, NHBC, SuDS.
  • Proficiency in preparing technical reports and documentation.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Experience in the consultancy sector is a plus.
