The role involves working within a team to produce designs and drawings for construction projects and deliver technical reports for master planning and to support planning applications. You will need the ability to produce masterplans, site appraisals, write reports to support planning applications, design calculations and construction drawings. Knowledge of and ability to deliver highway design, highway drainage principles (layout, parameters, etc.), surface water and foul drainage designs is essential. Experience in the use of Windes drainage software and PDS or Civils 3D modelling is required. A sound knowledge of the relevant design codes such as DMRB, Local Authority Highway and Water Authority Design Guides is necessary, along with being well versed in the preparation of drawings for S38 and S278 Highway Agreements as well as S106 Drainage Agreements. You will contribute to the delivery of concept studies and strategies with hands-on design, leading to planning applications or construction drawing issue.
What you need to succeed:
- An experienced Civil Engineer – Civil Bsc or Msc Degree in relevant subjects
- Ability to work / lead on multi-disciplinary projects
- Understanding of engineering principles with up-to-date knowledge of industry guidelines, legislation, and best practice
- A working knowledge of water and wastewater treatment process design
- Strong communication skills to interact with other disciplines and clients
- Willingness to contribute to and develop technical knowledge networks
- Experience using Civil 3D design Software
