The RoleYou will be responsible for delivering flood risk and drainage solutions from planning through to detailed design, including: Preparation of Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs)Preparation of Drainage Strategies and technical reportsSurface and foul water drainage designSuDS design and drainage calculationsDetailed drainage design using InfoDrainage and/or MicroDrainageLiaising with clients, Local Authorities, Architects, Planning Consultants and other members of the design teamAttending design team and client meetingsProviding technical advice throughout the planning and design processAt Senior Engineer level, you will also take responsibility for managing projects, preparing fee proposals, managing budgets and resources, mentoring junior engineers and providing flood risk and drainage advice on masterplans and development layouts. What We're Looking ForIdeally, you will have: A degree in Civil Engineering or a related disciplineUK consultancy experience in flood risk and drainageExperience preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy ReportsExperience designing drainage schemes using InfoDrainage and/or MicroDrainageGood working knowledge of AutoCADExperience with residential and/or commercial developmentsKnowledge of SuDS, NPPF, CIRIA guidance, Sewer Sector Guidance and Building RegulationsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage your own workload, deadlines and client expectationsFull UK driving licenceExperience with S104 drainage designs, fluvial/pluvial flood modelling, mentoring junior engineers or business development would be advantageous.
