A well known client of ours is expanding its presence in the Midlands, and they’re looking for a talented Civil Engineer to join the Birmingham team. About
You’ll work within our established civil engineering team, supporting the design and delivery of a wide range of projects across residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed‑use sectors. From early‑stage feasibility through to detailed design and construction support, you’ll play a key role in shaping practical, sustainable engineering solutions.
The role
- Producing civil engineering designs, drawings, and calculations for drainage, highways, earthworks, and infrastructure
- Preparing technical reports and supporting planning submissions, including Section 38/104/278 applications
- Working with industry‑standard software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage, and AutoCAD
- Collaborating with clients, contractors, local authorities, and multidisciplinary teams
- Supporting project delivery, ensuring work is completed to high technical standards and within deadlines
- Contributing to a positive team culture and supporting junior colleagues where appropriate
What they’re looking for
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience within a consultancy environment (open to a range of experience levels)
- Strong understanding of UK design standards and approval processes
- Proactive approach to problem‑solving and communication
- Working toward professional accreditation (IEng/CEng) is advantageous
