Are you a Transport Planner with a passion for development related transport planning? The successful candidate will join a busy team working on a wide range of projects. You will be working on a range of projects which includes residential, logistics, retail, leisure and education.

The role

  • Preparation ofTransport Notes, Statements and Assessments, Travel Plans, Site Access Appraisals usingMicrosoft Officeprogrammes (Word and Excel)
  • An understanding of relevant local and nationalpolicy and guidance.
  • Junction capacity modelling using theJunctions software(ARCADY and PICADY);
  • Traffic signal design usingLinSig;
  • Preliminarydesign of access, junction improvements and highway schemes using AutoCAD.
  • Swept Path Analysisusing AutoTrack.
  • Preparation ofhigh-quality graphicsusingGISpackages and/ or Corel Draw.
  • Contribute to working towards ourbusiness targets.

What you need to succeed

  • Formal educationin either Transport Engineering, Geography or Transport Planning.
  • Experience in the field ofdevelopmentfocusedtransport planning.
  • A member (or seeking to be) of aprofessional membership, such as CIHT or ICE.
  • Excellentcommunication skillswith a high standard ofwork ethic; and
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and ability towork proactivelyand use initiative.
