We are seeking a Technical Director who will be deeply embedded within the regional market, focusing on client-facing activities, business growth, market strategy, and technical leadership. This role is not centered on day-to-day operational management but plays an integral part in supporting initiatives to diversify our team in terms of staff and revenue.
As the Technical Director , you will support the Development team, specializing in development and transport planning, civil infrastructure design, and infrastructure delivery.

The role:
- Identify and pursue new business development opportunities, leveraging your network to help win work and increase market share for the Development team.
- Coordinate with the Regional Director for Development North and the local office Place Lead to set and agree on growth targets and plans.
- Engage with public and private sector clients, ensuring client satisfaction and compliance with regulatory authorities.
- Provide technical advice to clients, managing their development requirements effectively.
- Demonstrate behaviors and attitudes aligned with our company values.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure coordination across the Development discipline, sharing market intelligence, best practices, and innovation.
- Lead and support bid processes by reviewing and authorizing submissions, adding value both commercially and technically.
- Act as Project Director for major projects and strategically important commissions.
- Support all health, safety, and environmental responsibilities, ensuring team compliance with SHEQ standards.
