Strata have partnered with a growing consultancy and we’re looking for a talented Civil Engineer to join their Sheffield team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking consultancy known for delivering high-quality engineering solutions across the region.
The role involves working as part of a collaborative design team on a wide range of civil engineering projects. From site-development infrastructure to drainage strategies and earthworks design, you’ll play a key role in shaping projects from concept through to completion.
What you will be doing:
- Producing designs for highways, drainage, external works and general civil infrastructure
- Preparing drawings, calculations and technical reports
- Liaising with clients, architects and other engineering disciplines
- Supporting planning applications with design input and technical documentation
- Contributing to project meetings and providing on-site technical support where required
- Ensuring designs comply with current UK standards, legislation and best practice
About you:
- Degree-qualified Civil Engineer (or equivalent)
- Working toward CEng or IEng status (ICE) – or keen to progress
- Experience using software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage, or similar
- Strong understanding of UK regulations, SuDS, and adoptable standards
- A proactive mindset with great communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage tasks independently and collaborate effectively within a team
