We have an opening for a Senior Flood Risk Consultant to join our clients UK based Remote team. The team includes flood risk consultants, natural flood management consultants, water neutrality, nutrient neutrality, civil engineers and hydraulic modellers. Through having such a specialist team, they can support our clients with all things water.

The role:
Experienced in the management, coordination and delivery of Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies and to be able to direct and lead teams on technically complex projects for a range of clients. Ability to interpret third party data sets to inform planning decisions relating to flood risk i.e. design flood level. You will become a key member of the existing consulting team, providing support in the delivery of these projects including the production of Flood Risk Assessments and when required Surface Water Drainage Strategies. The successful candidate will have an enthusiasm to develop their career in the water/environment sector.
What you need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in either Geography or related science, Environmental Management, or Civil Engineering.
- Experience using InfoDrainage or other drainage design software.
- Previous exposure to customer services related roles.
- Knowledge of the drainage hierarchy and experience in undertaking drainage assessments and design.
- Ability to use AutoCAD.
- A minimum of five years industry experience.
- The ability to write clear, concise, and technically accurate reports using independent and third-party data sets.
- Desire to mentor and train junior members of the team.
- Previous experience of interacting with clients to support them with their decision making.
- Ability to inform feasibility studies and advise of future work and constraints associated with the project.
- GIS experience using software such as ArcMap, QGIS, or MapInfo.
