The role:

  • Working on a wide range of projects from single house dwellings to multi-storey structures.
  • Creating General Arrangements/Structural Layouts and Details in Steel, Concrete, Timber, and RC Detailing on medium to large structures.
  • Using CAD to support external works and plot drainage, assisting engineers in the design of large residential sites and various structures (schools, industrial, care homes, hotels, etc).
  • Collaborating on multiple projects as part of a wider team alongside architects and engineers to develop drawings/plans for clients.
  • Supporting and mentoring Trainee Technicians.

What you need to succeed:

  • Strong experience using CAD in a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy environment.
  • An HND/HNC in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • A good working knowledge of CAD and strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines alongside other Engineers and Technicians.
