Are you passionate about complex water projects across the UK and globe? We have an opening for a Senior or Associate Coastal Engineer to join our client's busy London office. This is an exciting position where you can join a consultancy whose services stem from ‘cloud to coast’, including water resource management, river engineering, flood risk management, and coastal and maritime engineering.

As a team, they work across all stages of design, from master planning through to detailed design, on UK and international projects. This is a great opportunity to collaborate with multiple disciplines, architects, planners, and environmental specialists, on sites that are universally exciting and valued by people.

The successful applicant will provide project leadership and technical delivery of Coastal and Maritime engineering services within the Water Group.

The role:

You can expect to work on coastal flood protection works, coastal structures, including breakwaters, revetments, quay walls, groynes etc. Some prior experience in beaches, including beach nourishment and shoreline management planning would be advantageous. Additionally, some experience in marinas, berthing facilities, navigation channels, and canals is required.

What you need to succeed:

  • You must be Chartered and have a strong track record of delivering projects covering at least three of the above listed areas of work.
  • Ability to share knowledge and support technical development of the Water Group.
  • Prior experience in project bidding activities.
  • Ideally, we are looking for someone in line management.
  • Ability to maintain and progress key client relationships.
  • Coastal modelling, both in-house services and through a network of specialist sub-consultants.
