Our multi-disciplinary client is looking to expand their Manchester team. They are looking for a talented Senior Geotechnical Engineer who is looking to work on a range of projects and delivering high-quality ground engineering solutions. In this role, you will be working on sectors, including highways, rail, defence, water, aviation and more!

The role:
- Lead ground engineering design packages from concept through to completion on a range of multidisciplinary projects.
- Produce and review geotechnical reports, models, and technical designs.
- Guide junior team members and contribute to their development and mentoring.
- Attend project meetings and represent this client on-site and with clients as needed.
- Stay current with ground engineering design practices, tools, and customer needs.
What you need to succeed:
- HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or Geology (MSc in Geotechnical Engineering preferred).
- Chartered status with ICE, GeolSoc or equivalent (RoGEP registration beneficial).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong background in ground engineering design, from desk studies to construction phase.
- Proficiency in geotechnical modelling and design software (e.g., GEO5).
- Experience with slope stability, foundation, earthworks, and retaining wall design.
- Ability to prepare technical reports, specifications, and design deliverables.
- Confident working across sectors, especially rail (highly desirable).
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead project deliverables and client engagement.
- Willingness to travel for short-term site work within the UK.
