We are looking for a Civil/Structural Engineer to join an independent civil and structural engineering consultancy based in Surbiton. Our client is renowned for delivering innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective design solutions across the power and energy sectors. We’re now seeking a talented Civil/Structural Engineer to join their team, contributing to exciting and technically challenging power and energy schemes across the UK.
You’ll be joining a forward-thinking consultancy where collaboration, technical excellence, and professional growth are at the heart of what we do. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers on a range of power and energy developments. This role offers exposure to the full project lifecycle, with opportunities to develop your design, coordination, and project management skills, while contributing to impactful engineering solutions that shape the built environment.
We’re looking for a motivated Civil/Structural Engineer with solid technical skills and a proactive, can-do attitude. You’ll have experience in the design and delivery of power and energy structures, be comfortable working in a fast-paced consultancy setting, and be keen to progress your career towards chartership. - At least four/five years' experience in the design and delivery of structural engineering projects, within the power, energy and/or renewables sector.
- Strong understanding of Eurocodes and design software such as Tekla, MIDAS, STAAD, or similar.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with clients and contractors.
- A practical, problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Experience preparing technical reports, calculations, and design documentation.
- Enthusiasm to contribute to a growing consultancy and take ownership of your professional development.
- Working towards chartership (MICE or MIStructE) or recently chartered.
- MEng or BEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
