We have an opening for a Civil Engineering Technician to join our clients lively Bristol office. From sustainable drainage solutions and infrastructure to complex highway design, their technical knowledge and experience is exceptional.

Currently made up of a team of Engineers / Technicians the team sits at over 20 and are looking to expand due to a heavy workload. They have extensive experience in supporting schemes from pre-planning and feasibility assessments to detailed design, technical approvals and construction.

What you need to succeed

  • To be able to assist engineers with CAD technical support
  • To have a minimum of 2+ years experience in a UK design consultancy across infrastructure drainage projects.
  • Prepare drawings with background external drawing information.
  • Carry out the design of detailed highway schemes for S38, S278 and S184 technical applications
  • Carry out the design of signage schemes
  • Produce development access layouts to support input at planning stage following Local Highway Authority, MfS and DMRB design guidance
  • Carry out the design of preliminary drainage strategies with calculations
  • To be able to produce catchment plans & calculate and draw visibility splays
