Overview
Are you a Chartered Transport Planner who is looking for a new role? This opportunity is a great chance to develop the Transport Planning team in Manchester and work on a range of exciting projects in the Northwest.
This position would involve building relationships with internal and external Clients to secure work, including working closely with the Associate Transport Planner to develop the transport planning team.

The role
- Undertaking and development of Site Access Appraisals
- Undertaking of Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Design and Access Statements, Transport input into Environmental Assessments and Travel Plans
- Development of concept designs for highways schemes for access and junction improvements
- Development and mentoring of junior team members
- Development of client relationships
- Producing fee proposals
- Assisting associates in seeking out and securing new opportunities
- Resourcing and financial monitoring and reporting
- Developing good relationships with professions across the company
What you need to succeed
- You will have proven experience working in a Transport Planning consultancy and be comfortable presenting ideas and project work to Clients
- You will be a Chartered Transport Planning Professional or Chartered Engineer certified by the Engineering Council
- You will have strong practical knowledge of Linsig, Junctions 9 and preferably experience of using TRACC/similar
- You will have a strong understanding of relevant local and national policy and guidance
- Organised and methodical with particular attention to detail
- The ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines under pressure
- Have a pragmatic approach and possess strong problem-solving techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships at all levels with clients and employees alike and across all professional disciplines
- Able to manage Client expectations
