We are working with a bespoke design consultancy who are a well-established Structural and Civil Engineering consultancy with over 20 years industry experience of delivering innovative design solutions. Based in Staffordshire, they are growing fast and looking for a talented Senior Structural Engineer to join a small, friendly and ambitious team.
The Role
This senior position reports directly to the Director and offers the opportunity to take a leading role within a tight-knit and highly skilled team. Currently based in Burton with a view to move to Uttoxeter, you’ll have real influence, autonomy, and the ability to shape the future of the practice. You will:
- Manage multiple small and large projects
- Lead and support junior engineers
- Liaise confidently with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
- Produce structural designs and drawings across a varied project range
- Assist with office management and business development
- Attend meetings and carry out site visits
- Collaborate closely with the Ipswich office as we work toward a future merger
For the right candidate, there is a genuine long-term opportunity to progress within the business, including the potential to acquire a shareholding.
You
You will have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Civil & Structural Engineering (minimum 2:1)
- Chartered status (MIStructE or MICE) or working towards Chartership
- Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner
- Experience with AutoCAD; Revit and structural analysis software knowledge is a bonus
- A full UK driving licence
- Permanent right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
- The ability to multitask, prioritise and thrive in a busy environment
