We have an opening for a skilled Associate Civil Engineer to join an award-winning consultancy in their busy Hampshire office. The role would focus on providing drainage and highway infrastructure design on all types and sizes of new development, supporting and collaborating with project managers from across the business to meet the needs and expectations of their clients.

The role:
The role would focus on providing drainage and highway infrastructure design, working on design and delivery of large strategic housing sites. You will also support and collaborate with project managers from across the business to meet the needs and expectations of our clients.
What you need to succeed:
- A degree or higher qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a focus on infrastructure or highways and drainage.
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with either the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT).
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience working on UK highway infrastructure projects, including feasibility, detailed design and delivery.
- Technical design experience using DMRB, MCHW, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20 and other current UK design standards and guidance.
- Extensive experience in the design and preparation of Section 38, Section 278 and Section 102/104 & S185 technical submissions, including liaison with adopting authorities.
- On-site experience monitoring or supervising highway works to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications.
- Familiarity with infrastructure design requirements in support of planning applications and discharge of planning conditions.
- SuDS design experience including the preparation of drainage strategies for planning and technical approval, and engagement with Lead Local Flood Authorities.
- Understanding and practical application of NEC contract forms, including delivery of design services and contract administration.
- NEC Supervisor experience, including site inspections, defect identification and quality assurance processes.
- Knowledge/experience in software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, InfoDrainage, Causeway Flow, and Microsoft Project.
- Experience preparing procurement briefs and managing delivery of third-party services including PAS128 surveys, CCTV surveys, topographical surveys, ground investigations and arboricultural & ecological reports.
