Are you an experienced Structural Engineer looking to take the next step in your career with a well-established and growing engineering consultancy?

Our client is seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join their successful Derby office. You'll have the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the residential, commercial, industrial, education and healthcare sectors while playing a key role in the development of junior engineers and the delivery of high-quality design solutions.

Role

  • Lead the structural design and delivery of a wide range of projects from concept through to construction.
  • Undertake detailed design in steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.
  • Liaise directly with clients, architects, contractors and other design team members.
  • Prepare and review calculations, drawings, reports and specifications.
  • Attend project and site meetings.
  • Mentor and support graduate and junior engineers.
  • Contribute to business development and client relationship management.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience within a UK structural consultancy environment.
  • Strong experience designing structures using a variety of materials including steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
  • Proficient with industry-standard software such as Tekla Structural Designer, TEDDS and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
