The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
Our client is an award-winning practice of Design Engineers in transport, highways, flood risk and drainage matters. They advise developers, housebuilders, town planners, architects and local authorities on a wide range of projects from small campsites to entire Garden Villages. They are proud to be supporting some of the largest developments in the South East.
Due to their incredibly busy forward workload, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic transport planner to assist in project delivery. This company operates as an Employee Owned Trust structure, giving employees a direct stake in the company's growth and success. They are looking for someone who works well in a small team and can engage with clients and other professionals. You would supervise junior staff and receive appropriate support from senior management, with a view to developing your experience and skills.
Your key responsibilities would be:
- Advising clients on transport and highways to enable sustainable development
- Delegating some work to others and providing feedback
- Representing the company at site visits, client meetings and public consultations
- Producing Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and other reports
- Carrying out transport modelling tasks to support the above
- Developing relationships with clients and fellow professionals to assist in business development
Role Requirements:
- Degree qualification in a relevant subject
- Interest in sustainability, infrastructure, design and/or planning
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a transport planning role
- Familiarity with current planning/transport policy and design guidance
- Modelling experience with Excel, Junctions, Linsig and TEMPro
- Other useful experience could include GIS, graphics and design using AutoCAD
- Good communication skills and ability to engage with team members and clients
The role would be based in our Aylesford office and would require some travel. We are happy to discuss hybrid working arrangements.
