We’re working with a well-established engineering consultancy looking to bring in a Contract Flood Risk Engineer to support a growing pipeline of residential and commercial development projects. This is a hands-on technical role, ideal for someone who can produce high-quality reports and manage drainage strategy work with minimal supervision.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for delivering Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies to support planning applications across a range of schemes.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of Flood Risk Assessments (FRA)
- Production of Drainage Strategies for planning submissions
- Design and integration of SuDS solutions
- Surface water management and discharge calculations
- Liaison with:
- Local Authorities
- Lead Local Flood Authorities (LLFAs)
- Environment Agency
- Supporting planning applications and responding to technical queries
- Software
- InfoDrainage / MicroDrainage
- Causeway Flow (desirable)
- AutoCAD / Civil 3D (beneficial)
Requirements:
- Strong experience delivering FRA & drainage strategy reports
- Good understanding of UK planning and flood risk policy
- Experience working on residential / commercial developments
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- UK project experience essential
