Role

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will take a leading role in the design, coordination, and delivery of civil engineering projects. You’ll work closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards, on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects including highways, drainage, and infrastructure.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and client communications.
  • Oversee site investigations, feasibility studies, and technical reports.
  • Ensure compliance with UK building regulations, health & safety standards, and environmental requirements.
  • Liaise with local authorities, utility providers, and stakeholders to secure approvals and resolve technical challenges.

About you

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering (Chartered Engineer status preferred).
  • Proven experience in consultancy or contractor-side civil engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of UK design standards, highways, and drainage systems.
  • Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage).
