We have an opening for a Senior Civil Engineer with 5+ years UK design experience to join our clients exciting Ipswich office. This is a great position for someone who has a wealth of software knowledge across the infrastructure drainage sectors and is looking to fast track into a Principal / Associate position.
A large element of this role would be to manage a team of junior Engineers with day-to-day tasks via mentoring. This role is best suited to a driven individual who is personable and able to communicate well with colleagues and clients. The role will predominantly be within their civils team, but opportunities to work on projects across the wider company will be available.

The role:
- We are seeking an experienced, ambitious candidate to join our company as a Senior Engineer.
- The candidate should also be versatile and can think on their feet.
- Manage projects from conception through to construction stage.
- Carry out and oversee design work of S38, S278, S104 and private works.
- Attend client and site meetings.
- Undertake surveys/site inspections.
- Assist with staff training and mentoring of trainees and graduates.
What you need to succeed:
- Engineering Degree or equivalent
- Chartered/Incorporated status or working towards professional qualification
- Working knowledge of Civils 3D/ and or Site 3D and Causeway Flow
- Ability to clearly communicate and interpret instructions.
- Experience of managing and leading technical teams
- Track record of delivering projects through all design stages and construction.
- Full driving licence
