Are you looking for a new opportunity as a Graduate Structural Engineer? We’re working with a well-established engineering consultancy in Gloucester who are continuing to grow their Structural team. Due to a steady and increasing workload across a range of building sectors, our client is now looking to recruit a Graduate Structural Engineer to support ongoing and upcoming projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join a supportive and knowledgeable team working across sectors including commercial, industrial, retail, public sector and residential developments. You’ll be involved in the design of building structures from an early stage, assisting with calculations, drawings and technical reports while working closely with experienced engineers who are committed to training and development. The role offers exposure to a wide variety of projects, giving you the chance to build strong technical foundations and progress confidently toward professional qualification.

Our client is looking for a Graduate Structural Engineer with 1–2 years’ experience in a UK design consultancy who is eager to learn, contribute to project delivery and develop their skills within a structured and supportive environment.

What You Need To Succeed
  • 1–2 years’ experience working in a UK structural design consultancy.
  • A basic understanding of structural design in steel, concrete, masonry and timber.
  • Familiarity with structural analysis and design software used in UK practice.
  • Ability to assist with structural calculations, drawings and technical reports.
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to learn from others.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and genuine interest in developing a career in structural engineering.
  • A strong academic background with a BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Desire to pursue chartership with the IStructE or ICE.
