We are looking for a motivated Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team in Newark. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to develop technical skills, gain hands-on experience and work on a diverse range of projects across infrastructure, commercial, and residential developments.
Responsibilities
- Assist with site investigations, including planning and supervising ground investigations
- Interpret geotechnical data and prepare factual and interpretive reports
- Support design work involving foundations, slopes, retaining structures, and ground improvement
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
- Conduct site visits to monitor ground conditions and construction progress
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and health & safety regulations
About
- Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or similar
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good report writing and communication skills
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Knowledge of geotechnical software (e.g. GeoStudio, PLAXIS, or similar)
- Understanding of UK ground investigation standards (BS5930, Eurocode 7)
- Previous internship or placement experience
