Are you passionate about Flood Risk and looking to make a move from your current position? We have an opening for a Flood Risk Engineer to join our clients Infrastructure Drainage team in Cambridge. This is a unique and exciting opportunity where you will be working on a diverse range of projects that can include energy, regeneration, agri-tech diversification, commercial and housing development across a portfolio of clients in all sectors across the UK. What’s on offer Hybrid / flexible working Private medical insurance Enhanced personal development plan with regular reviews ICE mentorship programme Rewards Programme The role The ideal Engineer should be able to deliver innovative solutions to the technical and environmental challenges land development can present and enjoys collaborative working across multi-disciplinary teams. You will be working closely with the local and regional teams producing and advising on flood risk and sustainable drainage strategies to accompany planning applications for a wide portfolio of project type. You will be part of a dynamic and vibrant team that encourages individual autonomy and initiative in a supportive environment. What you need to succeed A degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering subject plus minimum 2+ Years relevant post-graduate experience. Experience in design of sustainable drainage is essential. To have a background in civil engineering, geography or related earth sciences background. Consultancy/private sector development background with a focus towards private sector development work. Knowledge of applicable UK policy, standards and guidance such as National Planning Policy Framework, Planning Practice Guidance, TAN15, CIRIA C753, SuDS Manual etc. Knowledge of the UK planning process for new developments, such as energy and regeneration projects. Numerate and software literate. Working knowledge of AutoCAD. Knowledge of GIS and drainage modelling software such as Micro Drainage, Causeway Flow or Infodrainage or similar would be desirable, although training and support would be provided. Effective organisational and communication skills with a collaborative approach and enjoys responsibility. Ideally a full driving licence and access to a car
