We’re looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects from feasibility through to construction. You’ll ensure solutions are safe, practical, cost-effective, and fully compliant while supporting and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

  • Lead civil engineering designs and technical delivery across multiple projects
  • Take ownership of technical decisions, ensuring compliance with standards and the Building Safety Act 2022
  • Manage project delivery, resources, budgets, and risks
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, supporting chartership progression
  • Build strong client relationships and act as a key point of contact
  • Contribute to tenders, business development, and commercial performance
  • Promote health & safety, sustainability, and best practice

About you

  • Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 5–10+ years’ experience in drainage and infrastructure design
  • Strong skills in Civil 3D and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage
  • Experience working with local authorities and regulators (LLFA, EA)
  • Chartered or working towards ICE chartership
  • Strong leadership, communication, and commercial awareness
