Our client has an opening for a Civil Project Engineer to join their award-winning team in Central London. They are specialists in delivering structurally challenging new build and refurbishment projects with a focus on sustainability across all major sectors. You ll be joining a well-established team who have been delivery exquisite projects in the engineering industry for over 20 years.
Your role as a Project Engineer will be crucial in delivering high-quality engineering design solutions for infrastructure and building projects. You and the team will contribute to the entire project lifecycle, including feasibility studies, concept design, detailed design, and construction.
Your daily tasks will involve technical design and client interaction with a focus on sustainable urban drainage solutions, flood risk, earthworks, hard landscaping and highways.

The role
- Develop designs for below-ground drainage and SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems).
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring effective communication and high-quality delivery.
- Understand project progress and address any variations or challenges with support.
Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. - Represent the company at client meetings, presentations, and site visits.
- Conduct hydraulic design and analysis, including stormwater storage, sewer networks, and flood risk assessments.
- Undertake earthworks analysis and design, including cut and fill analysis using Civils 3D.
- Undertake pavements and hard surfacing design including highway alignments and highway finishes.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards (DMRB, MCHW, CDM regulations etc)
What you need to succeed
- Accredited degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years post-graduation experience working in the UK.
- Proficiency in design software such as Civils 3D, Infodrainage, (N.B Microdrainage and/or Causeway Flow.
- Knowledge of UK engineering standards (DMRB, Manual for Streets, MCHW, SuDS Manual etc.)
- Experience in pavement design, utility interface coordination, and trade effluent systems.
- Experience in below-ground drainage and SuDS design.
- Experience in earthworks analysis and design
- Familiarity with CDM regulations and health and safety practices.
- Familiarity with S278, S38, S104, and S106 applications.
- To be able to design and deliver flood risk management solutions, urban drainage systems, and sustainable infrastructure.
- To have experience in site assessments, surveys, and inspections.
- Actively working towards chartership (CEng MICE).
