We are looking to find a talented Senior Structural Engineer to join our established team in Chorley. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a respected, forward‑thinking consultancy delivering high‑quality structural solutions across a broad project portfolio.
The role involves being involved in the full lifecycle of structural engineering projects, working closely with senior staff, technicians, and multidisciplinary teams. You’ll deliver structural designs, carry out calculations, and support the development of projects spanning commercial, residential, industrial, and public sector schemes.
Responsibilities:- Undertake structural engineering design across concrete, steel, timber, and masonry
- Produce high‑quality calculations, drawings, and technical reports
- Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and other consultants
- Assist in project management, coordination, and technical delivery
- Carry out structural analysis using relevant software packages
- Support junior team members and contribute to the technical development of the office
- Ensure all work meets applicable codes, standards, and regulations

Essential:- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 2+ years’ experience within a structural consultancy
- Strong technical understanding of building structures

- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
- Progressing toward chartership (IStructE or ICE)
- Experience with Revit/BIM workflows
