We have an opening for a driven Civil Infrastructure Engineer with 3+ years of experience to be based within our clients growing team in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a small but rapidly growing business alongside other experienced engineers in developing detailed designs for residential and commercial projects across the UK. Their expertise lies within assisting clients from site acquisition, through to planning and detailed stages of the development project.
Your role will include advising clients and developing design proposals to support planning applications, then progressing these through the approvals process up to detailed design stage.

The role:
- Prepare Flood Risk Assessments
- Assist with development of drainage strategies utilising Microdrainage or Flow modelling software
- Assist with highway alignment design using Causeway PDS software
- Prepare and submit S278, S38, S104 etc applications for technical approval with the relevant authorities
- Liaising with clients and local adopting authorities
You will have support from senior staff but also be expected, and given the opportunity, to take a hands-on and client-facing role in the design and management of your own small schemes.
What you need to succeed:
- To be degree qualified and working towards Chartership
- To have experience in AutoCAD for drafting and detailing, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, PDS
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and other industry recognised design software
- Full clean driving licence
- Proactive, self-motivated and desire to take on responsibility
- Ability to work independently, and part of a team
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Understanding of civil engineering principles, design codes and standards, including those related to highways, drainage, flood risk and utilities
