Our well known client is a dynamic and growing consultancy based in Birmingham, delivering high-quality transport planning and engineering solutions across the UK. They work on a wide range of projects, from residential and commercial developments to strategic infrastructure schemes, supporting clients from concept through to delivery.
We are looking for a talented and motivated CAD Technician to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on varied and challenging transport planning projects, contributing to the design and delivery of highways and development schemes.
Responsibilities- Prepare high-quality 2D drawings using AutoCAD (and/or Civils 3D where applicable)
- Produce site layouts, access drawings, swept path analysis, and junction designs
- Assist with transport planning reports and technical documentation
- Work closely with engineers and transport planners to develop design solutions
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant standards and project requirements
- Manage drawing revisions and maintain organised CAD records
- Proficient in AutoCAD (essential); Civils 3D experience desirable
- Experience in highways, infrastructure, or transport planning projects
- Good understanding of UK design standards (e.g. DMRB, Manual for Streets)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop
