Technical Coordinator – Residential Development Basingstoke | £50,000 – £60,000 + £7,000 Car Allowance + 10% Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced Technical Coordinator looking to join an established and highly successful UK housebuilder? We are working with a leading residential developer that is looking to strengthen its Technical team within its Basingstoke office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience within a housebuilder, residential developer or residential design consultancy who wants to take responsibility for coordinating the technical delivery of high-quality residential developments.

The Role

  • Working as part of an experienced Technical team, you will help coordinate projects from the planning and design stages through to construction and completion.
  • Your responsibilities will include:
    • Coordinating architectural and engineering information across residential developments
    • Managing and reviewing drawings, designs and technical information
    • Liaising with architects, civil and structural engineers and other external consultants
    • Supporting the preparation and submission of planning information
    • Coordinating technical information to ensure it is accurate and issued on programme
    • Liaising with Planning, Commercial, Construction and Land teams
    • Managing technical queries throughout the construction process
    • Attending design, technical and site meetings
    • Monitoring consultants and ensuring information is delivered to agreed timescales
    • Reviewing drawings for buildability, compliance and coordination
    • Supporting developments through planning, detailed design and construction
    • Resolving technical and design issues as they arise

About You

Ideally, you will have previous experience within the technical or design department of a housebuilder, residential developer or consultancy working on residential schemes. You should have:

  • Experience within residential development or new-build housing
  • A good understanding of the technical delivery of residential developments
  • Experience coordinating architects, engineers and other consultants
  • Knowledge of planning and construction processes
  • The ability to read and review technical drawings
  • AutoCAD knowledge would be advantageous
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • HNC/HND, degree or equivalent qualification within construction, architecture, engineering or a related discipline
