Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, and motivated individual to join the company as an Associate Director of Civil Engineering. The successful candidate will design a variety of infrastructure schemes on some of the largest and most prestigious developments in the UK and be engaged with significant business development activities to be a part of facilitating the growth of the business.
You will be supporting the Civils Director in leading the design and delivery of major civil infrastructure projects, providing expert consultation and technical leadership, and ensuring design and operational excellence in all civil engineering activities.

The role
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring to engineers and technicians within the team
- Overseeing project delivery from proposal to practical completion, ensuring quality, cost, and time objectives are met
- Managing and cultivating client relationships and coordinating with stakeholders Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, policies, and legislation (e.g. CDM and UK Building Regulations)
- Foul pumping stations, SUDS, flow control structures and balancing facilities
- Residential and commercial external works design including earthworks assessments
- Technical reports, assessments, statements, and fee proposals
- Highway design preliminary and detailed (S38 / S278 Highways Act)
- Drainage design strategic and detailed (S104 / S98 Water Act) both strategic and detailed
What you need to succeed
- Minimum HND/C in Civil Engineering or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is desirable.
- Ideally Chartered with ICE or equivalent body is preferred.
- Experience of highway and drainage design and earthworks assessments
- Technical leadership.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and MicroDrainage (InfoDrainage).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
