We are recruiting a Principal Infrastructure Engineer to join our client's reputable Infrastructure Engineering team in Bristol. Our client was established in the 2000s and has grown to become a leading independent development consultancy with over 10 offices throughout the UK working across multiple sectors. You can expect to work on large scale urban extensions and strategies for area regeneration to renewable energy and residential schemes.
The individual should have experience leading projects and teams, whilst also being comfortable getting hands-on with the technical design and production of drawings and documentation. A consultancy/private sector development background with a bias towards private sector development work is beneficial.

What you need to succeed:
- BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering or a degree qualification in a related subject plus 5+ years relevant post graduate experience and ideally Chartered or Incorporated with a relevant professional body e.g. ICE.
- Ability to prepare drawings and calculations for both private and adoptable arrangements applying the relevant principles, design codes and standards.
- Experience obtaining ordinary watercourse consent with watercourse bodies.
- Experience obtaining technical approval from key approving authorities is desirable.
- A good understanding of relevant best practice and guidance.
- Experience in highway and drainage design using for example Manual for Streets, DMRB, CIRIA SuDS Manual, Sewerage Sector Guidance, and Local Authority design standards is desirable.
- Numerate and software literate with experience of AutoCAD, 3D modelling software such as Civils3D or similar.
- Experience with drainage modelling software such as MicroDrainage or similar would be desirable.
- Ability to manage non-technical project aspects such as contract management including financials, programme and resourcing.
