Van Driver

This one is for the early risers! Our client is seeking a Van Driver to join their transport team on a full time and permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a very stable business in the local area and to be a key part of their transport team.

• Working hours are 4.30am – 1pm, Monday to Friday.
• Full size commercial panel van (3.5t).

This is a permanent position with salary paid monthly. Overtime will be paid on any additional hours worked. Progression and development are supported and encouraged.

As a Van Driver you will be re responsible for ensuring that products are delivered within delegated timeframes and in line with the internal requirements. You'll be responsible for loading, transporting and unloading goods, carrying out vehicle checks and providing excellent customer service at every delivery point.

Routes cover areas including London, Essex, the West Midlands and surrounding regions, with occasional longer-distance deliveries depending on customer requirements. You'll typically complete 10-12 drops per day, working closely with Warehouse, Customer Support and Logistics teams to ensure a first-class delivery service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver customer orders safely, accurately and on time across the UK.
• Load, transport and unload products in line with company procedures.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects.
• Complete delivery paperwork and transport records accurately.
• Ensure compliance with driving legislation and Health & Safety requirements.
• Represent the business professionally at all times.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to maintain service levels and customer satisfaction.

The Individual:

We're looking for a reliable and professional driver who takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

• A full UK driving licence.
• Previous commercial or multi-drop driving experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
• A forklift licence would be beneficial, although full training can be provided following successful completion of probation.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently and manage your workload.
• A flexible approach to changing schedules and customer demands.
• A strong appreciation for Health & Safety requirements.
• The physical capability to carry out manual handling duties, with loads up to 25kg.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• Typically, 04:30am - 1:00pm (40 hours per week)
• Flexibility is required to accommodate varying delivery schedules and business needs.
