What You Will Be Doing
- Carry out a range of painting and redecoration tasks in all hotel public and back-of-house areas.
- Prepare and clean surfaces using methods such as scraping, sanding to remove old wallpaper and/or paint before the application of decorative products.
- Mix and apply paint or other materials such as stains, lacquer, enamel, oil, varnish using brushes, rollers or spray equipment, following manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Measure, cut and apply wallpaper or fabric to walls to required standard.
- Carry out tasks such as but not restricted to, plastering, carpentry and associated plumbing disconnections and stripping out repairs linked to maintenance work.
- Liaise with Maintenance Co-ordinator with updates on progress, and make necessary orders for equipment/parts.
