A leading UK REIT is seeking an experienced
Senior Manager – Real Estate Finance to join its established finance team.
Reporting to the Director of Real Estate Finance, the successful candidate will play a key role in the execution and closing of debt financing transactions, while taking responsibility for the ongoing management of loans across one of the UK's most iconic real estate portfolios.
The role
This is a broad, senior position offering exposure to lenders, advisers, shareholders and internal decision-makers.
You will support strategic financing decisions, manage existing loan arrangements and help identify opportunities to optimise the business’s debt portfolio and wider funding strategy.
Key responsibilities will include
- Leading lender marketing processes, including preparing financing materials and supporting lender engagement.
- Coordinating lender due diligence and acting as the principal point of contact for lenders, advisers, shareholders and internal stakeholders.
- Monitoring debt markets, financing trends and lender appetite.
- Identifying opportunities to improve the structure and performance of the debt portfolio.
- Working closely with Treasury to maintain accurate and consistent financing information.
- Overseeing loan drawdowns and managing ongoing loan administration.
- Coordinating waivers, consents, amendments and other matters arising under loan documentation.
- Preparing investment committee papers, board materials and strategic financing presentations.
- Partnering with Asset Management, Development, Investment, Legal, Tax, Treasury and Accounting teams to ensure financing requirements are reflected in business plans and transactions.
- Maintaining accurate and accessible financing and transaction data.
- Managing and developing junior team members as the team continues to grow.

The successful candidate is likely to have
- A minimum of six to eight years’ real estate finance experience.
- Strong knowledge of loan documentation and the ongoing management of financing arrangements.
- Experience supporting or leading real estate loan execution and closing processes.
- The ability to interrogate financial information, challenge assumptions and draw clear conclusions from complex data.
- A relevant degree in finance, accounting, real estate or a related discipline.
- A relevant professional or postgraduate qualification, such as ACA, ACCA or RICS.
- Experience working with senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook capabilities.
- A highly organised, numerate and analytical approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- An interest in large-scale commercial property or infrastructure developments.
