A prestigious UK REIT is hiring a Senior Development Analyst (Modeller) to join its Commercial Finance team.
Supporting complex multi-phase, mixed use development projects, you will combine hands‑on financial modelling with commercial analysis to help shape business decisions. You will work closely with Development and Finance teams, translating complex financial information into clear insights for senior leadership, boards and joint venture partners.
The role
- Own and enhance development appraisal models, ensuring accuracy, robust assumptions, clear audit trails and best‑practice modelling standards.
- Deliver scenario and sensitivity analysis, explaining changes in financial performance and their implications for project returns, debt and equity.
- Prepare clear reporting and commercial commentary for boards, shareholders, joint venture partners and senior stakeholders.
- Partner with Development, Construction and Finance teams to review cost and value assumptions, investigate commercial issues and support project financing arrangements.
- Support cashflow forecasting, liquidity analysis and business planning, including quarterly re‑forecasts and the annual development business plan.
- Improve models, reporting and processes, contributing to automation initiatives and supporting the development‑related implementation of Anaplan.
About you
You will bring experience building, reviewing and improving financial models, ideally within property development or wider real estate. Alongside strong analytical skills and attention to detail, you will be comfortable challenging assumptions and explaining what changes in the numbers mean commercially.
