A leading real estate investment and asset management firm is looking to hire a Property Accountant to join their London-based finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and driven accounting professional who is keen to join a collaborative and high-performing finance team. The Property Accountant will be responsible for supporting the financial operations of a well-established UK property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounts payable function for service charge properties
- Process supplier invoices on Yardi for service charge, development, landlord, and corporate entities
- Support the creation of payment schedules for development and landlord entities, including CAPEX
- Prepare and release fortnightly BACS/CHAPS payment runs
- Submit monthly CIS returns to HMRC
- Post tenant receipts and assist with bank reconciliations
- Support funding requests and liquidity management
- Raise quarterly rent and service charge invoices, as well as ad hoc recharges (utilities, repairs, insurance)
- Assist in the collection of tenant arrears and respond to supplier and tenant queries
- Contribute to monthly management reporting packs
- Assist with annual service charge reconciliations and audits
- Support Yardi integration for new building acquisitions
- Collaborate closely with operations teams, building managers, site staff, suppliers, and tenants
Candidate Profile:
- Experience in property or real estate services
- Highly organised and capable of managing a broad workload
