A highly reputable investment management firm is seeking an experienced Fund Finance Manager to join its finance team. This is a key position responsible for overseeing all financial and management accounting activities across a portfolio of real estate funds. The successful candidate will be the primary finance contact for investors, auditors, and internal stakeholders, and will manage relationships with external service providers covering accounting, tax, audit, and administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial reporting and accounting across the full fund structure, including local entities, holding companies, and consolidated accounts.
- Manage and review the output of third-party service providers and ensure timely delivery of accurate investor and statutory reporting.
- Coordinate and lead audits across multiple jurisdictions and ensure IFRS (or local GAAP) compliance.
- Act as a financial lead for transactions, providing input on structuring, due diligence, funding, and legal documentation.
- Support investor relations by preparing financial commentary, responding to investor queries, and presenting at meetings.
- Lead cash flow management and assist in debt financing and covenant reporting in coordination with the treasury function.
- Ensure tax compliance and manage the ongoing requirements of the fund’s tax structure across multiple geographies.
- Maintain governance obligations across entities, including board meetings, statutory filings, and documentation.
- Input into financial models and fund performance analysis, including IRRs and returns calculations.
- Drive process improvements, manage team members, and coordinate effectively across internal departments.
Skills
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Post-qualification experience within fund finance, real estate, or investment management sectors
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP accounting
- Exposure to tax compliance, investor reporting, and financial modelling
- Proficient Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and experience managing stakeholders
