If you enjoy a varied technical environment: one moment troubleshooting a user or meeting room issue, the next checking wireless coverage, updating documentation, liaising with contractors, or supporting an event setup, you're what we’re looking for!

  • Monitor and maintain access points, switches, patch panels, and wired data connections
  • Carry out daily AV checks in meeting rooms and event spaces to ensure rooms are ready for use
  • Set up technical equipment for events and train Front of House staff on basic AV operation
  • Maintain accurate documentation for procedures, configurations, Wi‑Fi maps, assets, contracts, and troubleshooting steps
  • Support technical assets across the campus and coordinate with third‑party contractors where required
  • Assist with Wi‑Fi monitoring, WAP checks, heatmaps, and new wired data connections

Essential skills and experience

  • Hands‑on IT support experience in a customer‑facing environment

  • Experience supporting meeting room or conference systems such as Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, or similar
  • Basic understanding of switches, patch panels, structured cabling, access points, and network troubleshooting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working directly with non‑technical users, guests, contractors, and internal teams
  • Able to document technical processes clearly and consistently
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a small team with varied responsibilities

Desirable skills

  • FreshService or similar ITSM/ticketing platform experience
  • Experience in a university, co‑working, serviced office, lab, hospitality, or events environment
  • Wi‑Fi heatmapping or wireless survey experience
