Straight-Line Group are currently looking for Groundworkers to start on a project in York, commencing Monday 28th September. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable, hardworking operatives to secure a minimum of 8 weeks' work, with the potential for the project to continue into spring for the right candidates. We are particularly interested in candidates with additional plant tickets, as one operative will ideally hold a Telehandler ticket. A Dumper ticket (up to 10T) would also be highly advantageous for the second operative.
The Role:
- Installation of approximately 800m of Heras fencing and gates
- Light vegetation clearance
- Removal and storage of handrails
- Supporting haul road construction
- General site keeping
- Assisting with other site activities as required
The Ideal Candidates:
- Previous experience working as a Groundworker
- Reliable, hardworking and willing to get stuck in
- Telehandler competency (essential for one position)
- Dumper ticket up to 10T (advantageous)
- Able to work safely and effectively as part of a site team
PPE Requirements:
- Orange long-sleeved hi-vis
- Orange or yellow work trousers
- Safety boots
- White hard hat
Gloves, safety glasses and other required PPE will be supplied on site.
