Straight-line are looking for experienced Pipefitters to start on a site in Reading. The project involves the installation and assembly of large prefabricated horizontal modules located across two roof areas. The modules include large bore pipework, containment systems, and copper pipework, which will be installed onto secondary steel support frames before being connected and tested on site.

Duties

  • Carry out all aspects of pipefitting work.
  • Assemble prefabricated pipework modules delivered to site.
  • Install and connect large bore steel, screwed, MAPPRESS, bolted, and copper pipework systems.
  • Work from drawings and site instructions.
  • Assist with the assembly of modules within steel support frames.
  • Support pressure testing and commissioning activities, including air testing of pipework.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and site safety.

Requirements

  • Experience working with steel, screwed, MAPPRESS, bolted, and copper pipework.
  • Ability to work from drawings and follow installation specifications.
  • Must have a valid JIB card.
  • Own tools.
  • Location: Reading.
  • Duration: Approximately 3 months.
  • Start Date: 8th June 2026.
