Experienced Building Services Mechanical Engineer and Team Leader with a strong background delivering mechanical works within highly regulated environments. Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams while ensuring full compliance with ONR regulations, health and safety standards, and site-specific procedures.
Key responsibilities and achievements include:
- Leading teams of engineers, technicians, and subcontractors in the delivery of building services mechanical works across live and safety-critical environments.
- Managing installation, commissioning, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and reactive maintenance of building services systems, including HVAC, ventilation, containment, and plant support services.
- Coordinating day-to-day site activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements.
- Ensuring minimal disruption to operational facilities by responding effectively to reactive maintenance and fault-finding activities.
- Reviewing and implementing technical documentation, permits, method statements, and quality assurance procedures in accordance with nuclear and building services standards.
- Working closely with project engineers, safety case officers, and site management teams to maintain operational readiness and compliance across all mechanical building services activities.
- Promoting high standards of health, safety, quality, and team performance within demanding and highly regulated environments.
- Supporting workforce development through supervision, mentoring, and coordination of on-site personnel and subcontractors.
