Groundworkers Birmingham Salary up to 45,000 Full-Time | Permanent | Competitive Rates | Nationwide Projects

Our client is an established Midlands-based construction and civil engineering company. Due to continued growth, we are recruiting experienced Groundworkers to join their team. Projects are varied in both scope and location, so applicants must be based in the West Midlands, ideally within a commutable distance of the company’s Birmingham site.

The Role

The successful Groundworker will have solid construction industry experience and be confident working both as part of a team and independently. Experience in several of the following areas is essential:

  • Piling and installation of piles
  • Domestic drainage installation
  • Hand digging and machine excavations
  • Traditional underpinning
  • Concreting
  • Brickwork
  • Dry-stone walling
  • Ground reinstatement and associated works

The Ideal Candidate

  • Reliable, hardworking and punctual
  • Previous experience as a Groundworker within the construction/civil engineering industry
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Full, current UK driving licence
  • Able to work away from home when required (accommodation provided)
  • Comfortable working as part of a team or independently
  • Plant tickets/qualifications would be highly advantageous
