We are seeking an experienced Utility Surveyor to join a growing team, delivering accurate and reliable underground utility surveys for construction and excavation projects.
About the role
You will be responsible for determining the presence and precise location of underground utilities, including electric and telecommunications cables, as well as water and gas pipes. Your work will play a critical role in preventing service interruptions, reducing risk, and ensuring safe project delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out utility surveys to PAS 128 standards (where applicable)
- Detect, trace, and map underground services using EML and GPR
- Accurately record and process survey data using GPS and survey software
- Produce clear, detailed utility plans and reports
- Work closely with clients, contractors, and project teams on site
Essential skills & experience
- Proven experience in utility mapping
- Competent use of EML, GPR, and GPS equipment
- Strong understanding of underground utility detection techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence (if site-based)
