Straight-line are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager / Site Supervisor to join our team on a project basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and coordinating subcontractors on site.
- Overseeing civil engineering works and ensuring works are completed safely and to programme.
- Supervising various trades, including electrical installation subcontractors.
- Reviewing and implementing RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and site procedures.
- Monitoring quality standards and site progress.
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders as required.
- Maintaining site records and reporting on project activities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Site Management or Site Supervision roles.
- Previous experience managing multiple subcontractors on live construction sites.
- Strong understanding of RAMS, health & safety, and site compliance requirements.
- Experience coordinating electrical installation works and other specialist trades.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively manage site activities.
Desirable:
- Civil engineering / groundworks background.
- Relevant site management qualifications and certifications (SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, etc.).
Contract:
- Freelance / Contract position.
- Competitive day rate, dependent on experience.
