Straight-Line Civils are currently hiring a CMM inspector to work twilight shifts in Wolverhampton. This company is a well-established engineering firm. They are the leading provider of precision engineering services, including multi-axis CNC machining, turning, press tooling, light fabrication and EDM. Main Purpose and Scope of Job: * To perform visual and dimensional inspection of a variety of components, ensuring they are compliant with required quality standards as set out by the client * Check conformity of products such as CMMs, hand tools, verniers, and gauges * You will be required to write CofC\’s, ISIRs, and FAIRs and be able to put in a concession if required Key Knowledge and Skills: * A high level of understanding of GD&T is required * Desirable to have manual handling training and use of lifting equipment * Experience with Aberlink Software and generating CMM programs * Programming knowledge is essential The hours will be 4 pm – 2:15 am Salary – £37,000 – 40,000 (no additional shift allowance) This job description is not exhaustive.
