Straight Forward Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for an FLT / Machine Operative to join a busy recycling and processing site in Norwich (NR9). This role involves operating machinery and using an FLT to remove and transport 1-ton bags once filled. This is an active hands-on position within a consistent and steady-paced working environment, offering a temp-to-perm opportunity.
Location: Norwich (NR9)
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 18:00
- Friday: 07:00 – 16:00
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating a Counterbalance FLT to move materials and finished 1-ton bags
- Monitoring the machinery to ensure smooth operation
- Handling and moving processed materials into bulk (1-ton) bags
- Removing and transporting filled bags using FLT
- Carrying out general plant and yard duties
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Reporting any faults or issues with machinery
- Following all health & safety procedures at all times
Requirements:
- Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (essential)
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, recycling, or processing environment
- Experience working with machinery or plant equipment (preferred)
- Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
- Ability to work in a dusty, noisy environment (PPE provided)
- Good awareness of health & safety
- Reliable and hardworking with a strong work ethic
