Are you an experienced team leader or supervisor who enjoys taking ownership, motivating people and making sure things run smoothly? We’re looking for a Night Shift Process Supervisor to take charge of a production team at a busy manufacturing site in Brandon, Suffolk. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be responsible for people, performance, safety and quality, helping to create a positive and high-performing night shift.

The Role

As Night Shift Process Supervisor, you’ll lead the team through each shift, setting clear expectations and making sure production targets, quality standards and safety requirements are consistently achieved. You’ll be expected to spot problems early, make practical decisions and keep production moving while supporting and developing your team.

  • Lead, motivate and support the production team throughout the night shift.
  • Set clear shift targets and monitor performance against output, quality, safety and downtime measures.
  • Coach operators, develop skills and encourage a positive “can-do” team culture.
  • Deal with performance and behavioural issues fairly and consistently.
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety, PPE, housekeeping and hygiene.
  • Carry out routine quality checks and ensure issues are dealt with quickly.
  • Encourage a “right first time” approach across the team.
  • Use basic Lean principles such as 5S, standard work and root-cause problem solving to improve processes and reduce waste.
  • Identify potential equipment issues and work closely with Maintenance to minimise downtime.
  • Complete accurate shift records and provide clear handovers to management and other shifts.
  • Encourage team members to suggest ideas and get involved in continuous improvement.

About You

We’re looking for someone who can confidently lead from the front and bring energy, organisation and accountability to the shift. You’ll ideally have:

  • Proven experience leading or supervising a team.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to challenge when necessary.
  • A calm, practical approach to solving problems under pressure.
  • High standards around safety, housekeeping and team performance.
  • Good organisation and time-management skills.
  • Basic IT skills for reporting and communication.
  • Manufacturing, FMCG or process environment experience would be advantageous, but it’s not essential.
  • Experience with Lean/continuous improvement, First Aid or Health & Safety training would also be beneficial.
