The Opportunity
Straightforward Recruitment are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team in Norwich.
This is a target-driven, field-based sales role focused on developing new business, converting prospects and building strong, long-term client relationships.
We are looking for someone who is confident, commercially focused and motivated by results, with a proven track record of winning new business.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities
Generate leads through proactive sales and business development activity
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
Conduct face-to-face client visits and develop opportunities across the local area
Manage your own sales pipeline from initial contact through to conversion
Convert prospects into new clients and develop long-term accounts
Meet and exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs
Maintain regular contact with clients to identify further opportunities
Represent the business professionally and build a strong local presence
About You
We are looking for a proven salesperson and relationship builder who is motivated by achieving targets and growing a client base.
You will ideally have:
Proven experience in business development, sales or recruitment
Previous experience within the industrial sector would be advantageous
Recruitment experience is preferred, but not essential
A demonstrable track record of winning and converting new business
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Confidence in a field-based, client-facing sales environment
A proactive and self-motivated approach
The drive and resilience to work towards and exceed targets
