The Role
We’re on the hunt for a talented, ambitious designer to join the Strafe Creative team. You’ll design seamless, conversion-focused digital experiences, contribute to strategic design discussions, and play a key role in guiding our junior designers as they grow. With the support of our senior team, you’ll balance multiple projects, lead presentations, and bring bold, user-focused ideas to life. Most of our projects – around 80% – are focused on digital design, including UI (User Interface) and UX (User Experience) for websites, digital products, and complex dashboards. The remaining 20% involves branding and visual identity.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing user-friendly interfaces under the guidance of senior designers.
- Keeping your Figma files spotless, organised, labelled, and ready for handover.
- Gathering and applying user feedback to improve your designs.
- Balancing multiple projects and deadlines with support from Project Managers.
- Presenting design ideas internally (and with clients once you’re confident).
- Staying curious; experimenting with new tools, keeping up with industry trends, and sharing what you learn.
What we’re looking for
- Figma fluency – the basics are essential; the rest you’ll learn here.
- A natural eye for detail and pixel-perfect execution.
- Strong time management; you’ll check in on Monday.com daily and keep Project Managers in the loop.
- A collaborative mindset; you must be open to feedback and hungry to grow.
Experience we’d love to see
We value hands-on experience with digital product design, experience in Figma, and a portfolio that showcases your ability to create clear, functional, and aesthetically pleasing interfaces.
Benefits and Culture Highlights
- Hybrid or remote flexibility – ideally within a 2-hour commute to our Nottingham office.
- Flexible working hours – start anytime between 7 am and 9:30 am.
- Family-friendly policies – paid leave for pregnancy appointments.
- Personal Development Fund – £1,000 a year after probation for skill improvement.
- Monthly Bonus Scheme – rewards for hitting performance goals.
- Regular socials – team events, both online and in-person.
- Mental health support – free Headspace app access, monthly check-ins, and on-site mental health first aiders.
